August 23, 2006, AE is an attempt at creating a three-dimensional world where everything can change during the game, meaning that terrain will never be constant, towns can move, and best of all, no data except for models and textures need be stored on your system. The objective is to ensure that terrain and object location data is kept server-side at all times. No massive terrain models to download! The current idea behind the game is to create a client that is as small as possible to ensure that it can run anywhere whether you're on the move, or sitting in an internet cafe. Our goal is to have the client size about of 40 mb compressed, while still keeping the online play exciting and new. |
